This beautifully illustrated first book introduces a child to numbers and animals in a playful method. As the child turns the pages, she finds a new animal being introduced and the number of such animals on the page increases as well. The illustrations tease the child to identify each of the animals/birds on the page and to learn the number. The number itself is written down somewhere on the page in the image, and the child has to discover it as well.
